It has been 10 years since a group of friends from Valtiberina first began to support Don Mario Cornioli’s work in the Holy Land.

It all began with a trip to Bethlehem and an encounter with disabled children housed in the Hogar Niños Dios shelter…From Bethlehem, Habibi moved on to Jordan, to Amman, to support Iraqi refugees who fled Isis and the most vulnerable communities. In these 10 years Habibi’s commitment has transformed and grown, but constant have remained the values and guiding principles of solidarity, welcome, trust and hope. New projects have been started, the number of people supported by Habibi has grown: “All this is possible thanks to the support and generosity of all the people, companies, institutions, and volunteers who have believed in Habibi over the years. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, from us and all the people we help, every day, to build a better future for themselves” – says Don Mario Cornioli, president and founder of Habibi, who met with Habibi members and supporters in Italy in early January.
