New lambs were born on Ader’s farm. The flock now numbers 37 ewes and 19 lambs, many born in recent months and more on the way soon. The sheep are still lactating, and milk production, which is seasonal in Jordan, is increasing and managing to supply, albeit minimally, the dairy where cottage cheese and sheep’s milk cheese are produced. The first wheels of pecorino, prepared after the November Filippo Pecorari, Italian shepherd and cheesemaker training, are maturing in the FormaJO dairy‘s cave: in February we should resume sales of our products. Thanks again to all the subscribers of the “A Sheep for Ader” campaign, which enabled us to double the donation from the Bulgarian Embassy for the initial purchase of the flock.
