Habibi’s story begins with this project, which generated an incredible network of solidarity and warm participation, going beyond all initial expectations.

Since 2013, we have been supporting the Hogar Niño Dios shelter in Bethlehem, which currently houses 36 children and youth with physical and mental disabilities and assists additional children in afternoon activities. Thanks to the great generosity of Habibi’s supporters, over the past 10 years we have raised and donated more than €350,000 to the sisters who care for these children, who are orphans or come from families in great difficulty.

Habibi assisted the purchase of material goods to support hospitality of children (basic necessities as well as household appliances such as washing machines) and organizing the educational/recreational activities which always aim to maintain a relationship with the family of origin and involve an integrated approach on the needs of each individual child with the intervention of different specialists, such as nutritionists, pediatricians, dentists, and physical therapists. There were also numerous volunteers from Italy who traveled to Bethlehem to support the activities of the home.

The connection with the children of Hogar Niño Dios has continued for 10 years with passion and generosity.
